Living Room Decor

Few days ago I updated on my Facebook Page 3D Design Decor & Disha that I have rearranged and gave a completely new look to my living room. Here is a post that I promised for.
Earlier seating arrangement in my living room was on the other side of the room where it partially blocked the way to terrace as you can see in the picture below. You can see more pictures here.

Sometimes rearranging furniture in any room can make it appear completely new and arranging furniture in a good way is the secret to make it spacious too. I shifted whole seating arrangement to the other side of the room and it worked. Room is now looking more spacious, pleasing and inviting.

Now I keep my terrace door always open and the result is room filled with natural light and fresh air that makes me even more happy.

Keeping some green and flowering plants in a tray with aromatherapy essential oil fill the room with soul refreshing aroma and work as a stress buster place in a room. Picture gallery wall brings lot of memories back and make me smile every time I look at them.

Here entrance wall has got a new mirror that my sweet little sister got me from her trip to marvelous Bhedaghat in M.P. This is the view of room from entrance.

Entrance sets a tone for the rest of the home. This mirror made of shells and conch is perfect for summers and look stunning against my mango yellow wall. Separate post on this mirror will be a good idea.

Next posts will be on my weekend project and of course about this shell mirror. So stay tuned!!
Wish you a very happy and creative weekend!!

Beautiful Gift

It  always feels so great to be at your parents home and spend quality time with them no matter how old you are or how much you have matured. With parents still you are like a kid. One such sweet experience recently I had when I visited my parents few days back. They showered all their love and care on me.
Everytime  I visit them they overload me with loads and tons of gifts. My mom knows my test well so she gave me a very beautiful set of coaster made of wood. Have a look....

I really like the way it blends with rest of the furniture in my home. Wood carved so beautifully and in a simple way.

I have lot of coasters but I think this one is very special because of its simplicity and raw look.

Design carved on it is not intricate but looks lovely.

Reflection on glass is making it appear even more beautiful. How do you find it, leave you comments below I would love to hear from you.

Winter and Warmth Of Sunlight

Its not very chilled weather in my part of the world but there is a feel of winter all around. Warm soft sunlight streaming into the living room and making my Buddha more bright and  tranquil.

Festive Glow This Year

Sharing with all my wonderful blog readers and friends festive joy and happiness in and around my home this Diwali. As 67% of my audiences are from other countries I have provided links to some words to make them understand the meaning and significance of the words I used.
 Lets enter  my haven...............

Rangoli made in haste but making entrance to my home cheerful and inviting.

My l'il sister also tried her hand and I must say she'd done a good job.

Placed diya(earthen lamp) at night on rangoli.

My hubby taught me to make Mango leaves Toran (decorative door hanging) without using any needle the way people do in South India  and I love to adorn entrance with these leaves on each festival.

Festive glow inside..........

and outside..............

Some goodies for loved ones..........

Some  lovely corners........

Filled with colors and festive glow

Lit diyas up and placed them everywhere around the home.

Floating candles and petals spreading festive magic.

These earthen pots I made specially for Diwali and ambiance they created was heart warming.

Warm glow and beauty, a perfect combination to uplift festive spirit.

Marigold adding beauty to decor.........

A very Happy Diwali to all of you :)

Diwali Craft & Home Decor Inspiration- III

What you do with dried plants. I had a dried Basil (Tulsi) plant for quite some time and recently I gave it a new life. I turned it into a 'Jewel Tree'. Diwali is a festival when we add lot of bling to our decor and this jewel tree is looking just perfect to give any corner or nook an instant cheer.

Under this tree is standing lord Krishna playing flute and Radha is sitting mesmerized by it's melody.

Any guess what these jewels are made of. Well this jewel is not expensive one. It's ball made of aluminium foil.  I just hung some foil balls onto the branches and some balls I glued on them. Then I painted the branch in silver color and the jewel tree is ready. You can hang some colorful stones or gems also.

Now take a look of few more cheerful corners in my home.

Check out earlier posts on Diwali inspiration here & here.

Have a very happy weekend and stay creative!!!
