Framed Rose Print Serendipity!

To me, it is serendipity when things just fall into place or when I am at the right place, at the right time.

This is the case with my framed rose print.

I came across a beautiful old rose print that had damaged edges and the previous owner folded the sides to make it fit another frame. I have a thing for roses, especially vintage.

I knew that I would need to sacrifice some of the print if I

Blooms Here And There

Summers are officially here in my part of the world. My garden is doing really well even in this scorching hot weather and I simply can't resist bringing those blooming beauties indoors. Here's how flowers have the power to enhance the beauty of any space.

After putting these blooms here and there my home looks one happy home and I just feel up looking at them through out the day.

Just the cutest birdcage chandy!

I simply made the cutest birdcage chandelier! And I hope that someone loves it as much as me since it's for sale in my antique mall booth.

 Notice the shadow! How fun...
 I didn't forget the bling...crystals!

Yes, It's *Still* Up!

Happy Sunday ... Happy Spring !!

Yes, our Christmas tree turned Valentine tree, turned Easter tree is still alive and kicking in our kitchen.  I wonder how long I can keep it going ...

For a Spring welcome, I wrapped it in pink and white mesh, along with a striped pastel ribbon.

I then added lots of fun and budget-friendly ornaments, like this cute bunny, with a head full of feathers (from Pier One)!

And, this sweet bunny in a basket, from Michael's.  I also bought an inexpensive bunch of flowers from AC Moore, cut off each floral stem and scattered them about the tree, as well:

A carrot with fun feathers (also from Pier One) ...

I flanked the tree with a couple of ceramic bunnies that I had on hand ... this one reminding you to "see no evil" ...

annnnnd, the other reminding you to "speak no evil," either.

I filled our handy canisters with yummy Easter treats:

And, over on the other counter, added another splash of Easter:

Love this little, pink bunny from Michael's, who is nestled on shredded book pages (although, admittedly, I feel as though I'm suffocating him under the glass cloche) ...

Annnnnd, of course, I had to add a few pastel malted milk balls to a wine glass on one of our shelves ... I'm hoping that since they're high up, I won't be tempted to eat them!

Just a few little splashes of Easter ...

Thanks for stopping by, sweet friends!

Come party with me at these fabulous gatherings!

New Cool Rug!

What I didn't share with you when I revealed my newly painted master bedroom (see that HERE), was the area at the foot of the bed that has just enough room for a 3' x 5' rug.

Yes, I could go a bit bigger but the hand scraped elm hardwood floors are so beautiful that I wanted to see more of them. I just wanted something to accent the floor.

So, have you heard of WUSLU? (http://www.wuslu.com/)

When Creative Juices Flow: Buddha's Got New Look

Few months back I got two Buddhas from a art and craft exhibition. One is made of brass, no scope for trying hand on it though :-(  and the other one is of terracotta (a lot can be done). Idea of painting this terracotta piece was in my mind since the day I bought it.
Here is a before pic......

And here's after one...

Now this Buddha probably will going to sit in my terrace garden and sure will increase the amount of tranquility there.
Have a great weekend ahead!!
