Twin Night Stands

I have a special little friend. His name is Jace and he is so handsome. Meet Jace.
I have been helping his Mommy decorate their new home (I will share it all with you soon). One of the things that was needed were two night stands for Jace's room.  I found these two at a recent garage sale.

With a little cleaning, sanding and painting. Plus some perfect new knobs, they are ready for Jace's fun

Fall Drama ...

Folks, apparently, there is Fall *drama* going on in our sitting room ...

My IKEA pots *broke up* with the cute faux greenery once in them and now have new companions:

A ripped out page from a book has married a leaf:

And, this beautiful new piece of furniture from Tuesday Morning somehow just snuck in here!  *Gasp*

Oh, and the dish ran away with the spoon.  LOL.

I look forward to sharing more of crazy Fall *goings-on* in here!

Have a great day,

A Fall Vignette

Happy Monday!  Hopefully, everyone had a fabulous weekend, although I know that we all had difficult moments yesterday as many of us watched the 9/11 tributes.  I can't believe it's been 10 years ... our thoughts and prayers will continue to go out to all of the families and friends who lost loved ones on that tragic day.

Back to decorating ... I thought I'd share a Fall vignette that sits on the buffet in our great room.

I loved decorating it with its new AS Old White chalk paint attire.

Starting on the left ... I raised our lamp up just a smidge by placing it on a small cream pedastal, which now helps to balance the cream in the vignette, as well.  Our initial "B" was on a lamp in the bedroom ... not anymore!  I then added a basket from Michael's, turned it on its side and "spilled" pumpkins, guords, pinecones and leaves from it.

Love all of the different shades of Fall in here:

I bought my handsome Mr. Roo at Pottery Barn last year ... thought he'd be a fun Fall addition to the buffet!

And, over on the right ... my cream fleur-de-lis vase, filled with natural elements, serves as a backdrop to the "must have" lantern.

I had leftover burlap, so I nestled this pretty leaves candle inside.  Love that it's battery operated.  Such a pretty glow ...

Speaking of glow ... how about an evening shot:

I'm sure I'll tweak this a bit more, but here it is for now!  Thanks for stopping by ... I'm off to join these fun parties ... come on along!

Oh So Beautiful Dresser!

Boy, Do I ever have a Lovely to show you!!!

On one of my recent Diamonds In The Rough! posts, I came across a very tired and abused, solid cherry dresser with great bones. At a price of only $20, how could I pass it up.

It even came with a matching framed mirror.
I have great vision when I see what something CAN become. And I knew this dresser would be the beauty that she has become now.

Rang Decor Readers Creative Spaces: X

Meena Sriram
Today Rang Decor Reader Meena Sriram shares few creative corners of her 1700 sq.ft town home in Ottawa, Canada.
sri4
Vintage art prints...

Meena explains, 'I wanted to create a light- filled home that is serene, relaxing, with an airy breezy feel and lots of punchs of colour'.
sri2
Living room view...
sri8
She has used a lot of different natural textures to bring a homey feel, sisal rugs, bamboo blinds, a lot of old art prints carefully handpicked from antique stores in Chettinad, reframed and hung in groups.
sri3
Dining area with her favourite blackboard and art prints...
sri10
She continues, 'I’ve also tried to keep it very simple, functional and clutter free. Plenty of plants and books are a must! Its been a year since we moved in and I’ve pretty much worked with what I had without spending much.'
sri6
Guest Bedroom...

Knots & crosses and books...sri5
Bright Kitchen...
sri7
Meena feels homes don’t have to be perfect but they should be original and personal. She loves inspirational quotes, and blackboards, so they're all over her place.
sri9
She has a thing for old world charm, so she has tried incorporating plenty of vintage and flea market finds.
sri11
The old radio in the kitchen, the pickle jars and chettinad tiles...

She believes it is important to always choose things that are meaningful to you as opposed to what is trendy at the moment and feels you don’t need to have a lot of money to create a beautiful home, just a little creativity, quirkiness and adding that personal touch makes it your own!

I agree, your lovely home is proof of that. Thanks for sharing few corners of your home with readers of Rang Decor.

If you have any questions for Meena do ask in the comments section. Thank you.

I'm a Tease!

LOL ... tweaking away in my dining room!  I'm LOVING the look of mercury, cream and brown in here this year.  And, totally loving raffia strewn about, too!  Here's a little peak!  Let the decorating continue ....

And, thanks to my sweet and super talented bloggin' buddy, Debbie Debbiedoo, for kindly giving my cute little chalk paint pumpkins a shout out (here)!  I can tell you that she's decorating her beautiful home for Fall this weekend, and it will be fabulous ... don't miss it!  I'm hoping I see a few Duck Egg Blue pumpkins show up in her decor!  Thanks, Debbie!

Have a wonderful day, everyone ... hope you're splashing Fall around, too!
