ReArranged Guest Bedroom

Recently, I shopped my own house for furniture for my newly painted master bedroom. You can see more on that HERE. But you all know what that does. It causes a void in the room you stole the furniture piece from. Therefore, I had to rearrange my blue guest bedroom a bit. By the way, I call this guest bedroom blue, because the ceiling and the bedding and some accent pieces are blue.

Basically,

Addition to Drapes in Guest Bedroom

Have you ever been nagged about something that you made that just isn't 'right' to you? Well, I have.
First of all, the window in my blue guest bedroom was built almost up against a wall...(I call it my blue guest bedroom because the ceilings are painted a soft blue and the bedding is blue)
Do you see how close it is to the next wall? Frustrating to make curtains for when the look you are going

Stairwell Wainscoting

Hubby and I have been wanting the look of Judge's Paneling on the wall in our stairwell leading to the second story.

To be honest, Hubby is capable of doing this DIY but chooses to just write the check, so-to-speak.

But, before I continue on with this story and the AFTER pictures, I need to bring you back and show you the BEFORE pictures, okay?

Our stairwell is just a regular stairwell with a

My Newly Painted Brown Master & GiveAway!

I am so excited to share my newly painted brown master bedroom. For the past two days, my daughter and I have been painting walls from the 9 year old green color to brown, then putting it all back together in a different way by shopping my own home! Here it is...picture overload!

I was in hopes that I could use my existing lace panels that have a hint of green...I think they work. I was in

Dragonflies and Butterflies Anyone?

I have been working with a client on decorating her huge home. This post will only show parts of the formal dining room that I added decor to. There is much more to be done in this room.

The chairs are large and very nice but looked a bit masculine to me. So I made 8 lumbar pillows (12 x 18) with reddish fabric featuring dragonflies on the material. The background of the material coordinates

A Client's Formal Living Room

I recently shared with you a before and after of a built-in bookcase. Well, that is in a formal living room space that I have been decorating.

Here is what this space looked like when I was hired to warm it up and put personality into the room.

It had the basics, two sofas, two end tables and a coffee table...and a couple of wood side chairs.

Now I will step you through my decorating process.

Please Remove Your Shoes & A Clients Foyer

I can't say that this was my idea. I got the idea from Pinterest where there is a wealth of great ideas. I was initially overwhelmed with decorating a huge home by myself, but a friend that I helped decorate her new home recently told me, "You are the Queen of putting personality into a home!" (Thanks Lindsay) That is all it took to spur me on to this new project. So here is how I put personality

Fun New Home Decorating!

For the past five weeks, I have been helping a friend and client with pulling her new home together for a more cohesive look. I have blogged about this new home in July when they allowed furniture stores and decorators to come in (before they moved in) and use the house as a way to gain more funds for the Advocacy Network for Children. This tour was over and they moved in their own furniture.

From Baby to Little Girl Room

I have been helping a friend and client with pulling her new home together for a more cohesive look. In their little girls room, which she painted green, I put a huge vinyl tree on the wall, purchased on eBay.
Initially the baby bed and dresser was lost in this very large room. (This is just one tiny corner, below).

Since her daughter was ready to transition from a baby bed into a larger one, I
