Kiss, Hug, Kiss!

A quick Kiss and a Hug and how about another Kiss!

I made this Valentine's Banner from three things,

Baker's Twine, Fabric Cuts and Corrugated Metal letters!

Don't you think it turned out sweet?

Oh and the Corrugated Metal letters were purchased at Hobby Lobby!

Tutorial on Making Wool Pumpkins

I haven't done a tutorial in a very long time and just made these cute little pumpkins out of an old wool sweater and thought that you would maybe want to how I made them!

First, you need to find a wool sweater. I found a pure white one at the thrift store.  I then washed it and dried it in the dryer so it would 'felt' and shrink. This gives the wool and different look and feel.

I then

Jazzed-Up Acorns!

Talk about

Cute

 And

Fun!

This all started when I visited my friend. Upon arriving, I noticed that her acorns were huge compared to mine...

That got me to thinking how fun it would be to create some cute but various ways to Jazz-Up her acorns.

First, I washed them and put them on foil, then on a cookie sheet. I baked them at 170 degrees for about 2 hours to make

I Tried & FAILED...Sort Of!

Remember when I showed you how to use a Sharpie to decorate ceramic, then bake to set it? You can see the details of that post HERE. I made this winter banner out of a plate with this method...

And a couple of more plates that I display in my home...

So, I decided that I wanted a kitchen spoon rest by my stove but not a regular kind...one fashioned with this method.

I came up with

Feedsack Wreath!

I have been inspired by seeing my friends burlap flowers and another's wreath on a blog.

So I thought I would give it a try...

Here is my finished
   Feedsack & Burlap Wreath!

I started with making this flower by layering, from the bottom up, white burlap, vintage lace, brown burlap, more lace, and then I added a rhinestone butterfly pin in the center.

For the wreath, I

White Teapot Crystal Lamp!

The best thing about Winter for me is, that I am able to stay in out of the cold and create! This peticular day, I decdied to combine a tired looking vintage crystal lamp with ceramic teacup, saucer and teapot.

I took the old crystal lamp apart and cleaned all the pieces.

You just don't realize how easy it is to drill holes in ceramic and glass with a special drill bit that you can

Winter Plate Banner

Different!

That is what I like to do...

Something different...

Not the same ol' thing!

I have made banners for Spring...

I have made banners for Summer...

I have made banners for Autumn...

Now it was time to make a banner for Winter...

But that's when I decided to be different. It was still going to act like a banner but be a singular piece! What?

Nest Platter

I have had some fun

This summer

With making things

Out of Nests!

But not real nests because I got one from the yard...a Robin's nest

And as I was carrying it to the house, I noticed that my hands were full of crawling mites! Don't you know I put that down fast and ran for the hose to wash off!

In a post HERE, I showed you how I made this picture out of a ladle and cookie cutters

Easy Monogram Shades

It is always a Great Thrill when I walk into a store and unexpectedly find a clearance sale that is too good to pass up.

As I was shopping Lowe's this past summer, I ran across a clearance table loaded with red and black chandelier shades and several colors of chandelier chain socks.

Are you ready for the price?

29¢!

That's right only 29¢ for each shade and the socks

Petite Teacup Chandy!

I made this cute and petite teacup chandelier by using the inside parts to an old light fixture,

A teacup and saucer that I drilled a hole into with a special diamond bit...
 AND...crystals...always need crystals!
I then wired it so it can simply plug in to an outlet! Now I am hoping this sells in my booth!

Book Wreath & Snowflakes Review

I found this past post of mine that I did last winter on the Book Wreath and Snowflakes that I made. I thought that you may like to see this again. However, now that I look at this minimalistic wreath that I completed last year and compare it to the music page wreath that I just made this year, it's a stark contrast. Shows how I have grown because of inspiration from other wonderful blogs out
