Christmas 2011 Mantel

I adore the whimsical look of my frames on the fireplace mantel. Our fireplace is very large and...

To accomplish this, I purchased large frames at garage sales and thrift stores during the summer. I then spray painted them red and white. The huge ornaments came from Sam's Club and the green shimmer decor came from various shops after Christmas sales at the Lake of the Ozarks where we spend New

It's Raining Mesh!

Happy Saturday !!  Gosh, I've been so out of touch this week, and I've missed visiting you all and your fabulous projects.  I was busy, busy making mesh wreaths ... here are my latest creations that I've either custom made for others or for a recent open house.  I'm also going to be featuring them in two fun, local boutiques ... yippee !!

I've had so much fun designing these wreaths, and have been truly flattered that orders keep coming in!

I'll share next our Christmas splashes ... can't wait to see everyone else's beautiful decorations!

As always, thank you SO much for stopping by!

Old Bucket....Chic Planter

Have a very happy weekend friends and stay creative!!

I purchased 5 custom made and unused swags at a garage sale for only $5 total! I knew that I could do something fun with them. This is one of the swags. See the pretty tassel trim? And the deep red fabric is very nice too.

I realized that they would make awesome pillows. It took a bit more than one swags worth of tassel trim to make an 18 inch square pillow. Which means that I was able to make

2011 Ornaments

Each year, I make ornaments for my family and this year I have taken on a MacKenzie Childs look. I hope they like them.

I also made the black and white check balls too and will share with you a tutorial on that soon.

Wine What!

While on a shopping trip, I purchased this wine rack.I liked the way it looked vine-like. This is the wine rack holding wine bottles.
It's what it was made for, right?OKAY, let's think outside the box, but not too far, because it's been done many times before.
Yes, as a hand towel holder in a guest bath.
Not a huge stretch, but fun and pretty.
